Deborah June Sitser
There's magic in a Mother's touch, and sunshine in her smile. There's love in everything she does to make our lives worthwhile. We can find both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes. Her laughter is a source of joy, her words are warm and wise. There is a kindness and compassion to be found in her embrace, and we see the light of heaven shining from a Mother's face. (author unknown)
Deborah's life, which centered completely around love, began on 12/1/50. She departed on 3/26/25. She was born in Hudson, NY to Alfred and Mary Rifenburgh who taught her the importance of family and the values that would guide her life and teach her the lessons that she would share with her children and grandchildren.
Meeting Robert Sitser in 1967 gave her the opportunity to build the family that she dreamed of and would later be her proudest accomplishment in life. She wanted nothing more than to be remembered as a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Her homemade apple pies were legendary, and her holiday gatherings were filled with endless love and special traditions. Her tremendous love of collecting and yard saling was contagious and embraced by all her children and grandchildren. Their "special specials" will be cherished forever.
She was predeceased by her adoring parents and her loving sister Nancy Wright.
She is survived by her husband Robert; four children, Robert Sitser (Patty Bowes), Tiffeny (Alfonso) Cantu, Maryjo (Ken) Burger, and Danielle (Blake) Kush; five grandchildren; Victoria and Ayden Burger, Emma Cantu, Skyler and Addison Kush.
Calling hours will be held at Raymond E Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, NY on Saturday, April 5th, 11am – 1pm with a blessing at 1pm. At her request, there will be no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, Deborah requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
