Valatie- David A. Bornt, Jr., 43, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly March 3, 2025. Born on January 18, 1982 in Troy, NY. David was the beloved son of David A. Bornt, Sr. and the late Maureen Callahan Bornt.
David was a graduate of Averill Park High School class of 2000. David worked several jobs through life and at the time of his death was working on building a career at Amazon in Castleton, NY.
David was a lover of all things Boston Red Sox, NASCAR, WWE and LEGO. He loved movies and video games and most enjoyed spending time in his home theater.
David is survived by his wife Renee (Johnson) Bornt, children Sophia Bornt (Sophalophagus), Zoë Bornt (Noodle), Callahan Bornt (Doodle) and his bonus children David Gray, Jr. (D-Train) and Michelle Gray (Nuts). He is also survived by his father and sisters, David (Kathryn) Bornt, Sr. of Troy, NY, Samantha Bornt of Richmondville, Kelsey (Keith) Bear of Schenectady, and estranged sister Jamie Bornt of Deptford, NJ. He was survived by his aunts and uncle, Joan (Dave) Watson, Su McNally, and Audrey Mason; his cousins Amy Hext, Beth (Gabe) Benitez, and Brendan (Katie) McNally, David was predeceased by his mother Maureen Callahan Bornt, daughter, Emma Maureen Bornt, Uncle Carl Bornt, Jr. , Uncle John McNally, Grandmother Joan Bornt, Grandfather Carl Bornt, Sr, and cousins Jay McNally, and Cody McNally.
David also leaves behind many cherished friends who became family over the years including the Baksh family of Schenectady, and Monroe NY, Duane A. Hotaling (Bestie) of Nassau, NY., Chasson (Chaz) Skervin of Albany, NY, and the most badass bitch Heather Goodall of Castleton, NY. You were all an important part of his life and he was so thankful to know and be loved by each one of you. He genuinely cherished each and every one of these friendships.
David was quick to lend a helping hand and was always there for anyone who needed him. He had an outgoing personality and always made those around him laugh. David made a unique impression on the many lives he touched and was loved by so many. David was a loving and devoted father and husband. David's first and utmost priority was his family and being the best father and husband he could be. David will be greatly missed and forever part of every life he touched.
Services will be held at Raymond E. Bond Funeral home in Valatie, NY, on 3/22/25 from 11-1pm with a pot luck celebration of life to follow from 2-4pm at 19 Sylvan Ln, Troy, NY
