Barbara Thornton, 78, of Valatie, passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2025. Born on October 17, 1949, in Hudson, New York, she was the daughter of Francis and Frances (Moy) Tauckus.
Barbara worked as a clerk for Aetna Insurance and later for Columbia County. She was known for her kind heart, and never had a bad word to say about anyone.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Robert Tauckus of Greenville, as well as many cousins.
She will be laid to rest at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson, NY.
