Linda Vault-Smith, 77, of Kinderhook, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2024.

Linda was born in Syracuse, NY to Frank L. Vault 3rd and Joan L. Darling. She graduated high school from Utica Free Academy and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Siena College. She most recently worked as a broker for Sotheby's. In earlier years, Linda had a passion for antiquing and a keen eye for fashion and naturally became an entrepreneur opening her own shops. Being a lover of animals, she was on the board of the local Humane Society for several years and was a frequent contributor to AnimalKind.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kim and son, Rick (Kim Cammer); brother, Frank L. Vault 4th (Susan); sisters, Carol Thelen (David) and Barb Olm (Rick); grandchildren, Richard Smith and Zach Guido; longtime real estate partner/boyfriend Mark Twentyman, several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Mutter. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert Vault.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful aides who provided her with loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be directed to AnimalKind in Hudson or the Columbia-Greene Humane Society in her name.
