Joseph B. "Butch" Hughes, 80, of Nassau, NY passed away peacefully at home on February 29, 2024 with his family by his side. Born on October 10, 1943 in Hudson, NY he was the son of the late Douglas and Evelyn (Best) Hughes.

Butch is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joanne; his daughters, Kristin (Michael) Evans and Jennifer (Robert) Wallace; his beloved grandchildren, David (Karen) O'Neil, Caitlin (Mark) Walseman and Chelsea Wallace and his cherished great grandchildren, Brynlea and Flynn.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Community Hospice.
